Redwolves

Redwolves press release...

"The Danish hardrock band Awesome Mr. Powerwolf are changing their name to Redwolves. The reasoning behind this is that the members of the band wanted to avoid any legal issues with the German heavy metal band Powerwolf.

"When we named our band back in 2008, we didn’t know of the band Powerwolf. After a break from late 2009 to early 2012, we started rehearsing again, with all new members, and by then we knew about Powerwolf, but we didn’t think it would ever be a problem, since we don’t play the same genre of music at all," says Rasmus Cundell, lead singer of Redwolves.

"Powerwolf now own the rights to that name and we thought it would be best to avoid any confusion or legal issues with the band, so we changed our name.”

Redwolves, under the name Awesome Mr. Powerwolf, released an EP titled ”Wake Up” late 2013, that got a lot of great reviews from Denmark, Canada, England, France, Italy, Germany, Japan and USA. The band is currently being, or have been, played on more than 180 radio stations in 47 different countries, and are presented on more than 300 webpages and in magazines from all over the world. The "Wake Up" EP can be found on Spotify and iTunes, as well as almost every other music streaming service under, the artist name Redwolves."
